You just can’ t beat a giant pretzel. They last a while due to their size, they’ re not too intense and they’ re the perfect salty complement to the beer you’ d also be holding. Also, they’ re one of the lesser of the evils, nutrition-wise( despite being twice your daily need for carbs!).

I have good memories of getting hot dogs with my dad and brothers at UofL football games at Papa John’ s Cardinal Stadium.

The Louisville Slugger Stadium in Louisville sells a pretty mean fried bologna sandwich, very reminiscent of my mother’ s. Notched slice to prevent the bologna from turning into a bowl, cheese and mustard on bread and I’ m a happy fan.

Corn dogs are my favorite ballpark food. There is just something about it that reminds me of my childhood.

Nachos. Regardless of the ballpark, they’ re my go-to treat. They always remind me of watching the Louisville Redbirds at old Cardinal Stadium. Those memories- including, obviously, the“ Whoop-WOOoooooooo...” chant- mean the world to me.

A memorable part of my childhood was going to watch the Reds play and getting ice cream in a mini helmet. As an adult, there is nothing better than a hot dog, a bag of peanuts and a cold beer at Louisville Slugger Field.

I can spot Elizabeth Kizito balancing that basket of cookies on her head from any spot of Louisville Slugger Field. Her cookies are definitely my favorite ballpark snack. Her snickerdoodle cookies are the best!

When it comes to stadium food, my personal favorite is the Chicago dog at Wrigley Field. Poppy seed roll, neon green relish and of course the sport pepper is the perfect finish. Don’ t ever, EVER try to put Ketchup on a Chicago dog.

Southern Indiana Little League concession stands offer surprisingly varied menus. We seem to be at one almost every spring evening, and my favorite items vary depending on location. Best items for me are Slushees, Icees, and popsicles – anything that keeps me cool and has lots of sugar.

I absolutely love ballpark food of all types, but two of favorites are the soft pretzel with cheese and Cracker Jacks. Locally? The Fried Bologna at Slugger is a major key.

When I think of ballpark food I think of hotdogs. I remember going to the Cardinal Stadium at the Kentucky Fairgrounds for Redbird games in college when they would run promotions of 25-cent hotdogs all night. With a roll of quarters, my buddies and I would eat like kings.

Busch Stadium Hot Nuts! Get your mind out of the gutter. They’ re not‘ hot’ as in‘ spicy,’ just recently cooked. Pecans, cashews or almonds( which are my go-to). The sad part is I don’ t even give myself a chance to really enjoy them. Gone in five seconds flat. I’ m helpless.

I’ m just really not that into sports( this may come as a surprise to you). However, I recently joined one of my best girlfriends to watch the Reds play at the Great American Ballpark and really enjoyed the atmosphere... and the beer. So, beer is my answer. Is that considered food?
