THE PARK HAS THREE POOLS: an activity
pool, a wading pool and a lazy river. The activity
pool has a steamboat spray feature in it, and the
wading pool is perfect for small children. There
are four slides, including three tube slides and one
bowl slide, which is “like you’re getting flushed
down a toilet,” joked Kayla Tatgenhorst, events
and promotions coordinator.
The park also offers swim lessons for ages 4 to

adults are welcome to join if they want to learn,
Tatgenhorst said. Cost is $30 for a two-week session
of daily American Red Cross lessons.

or walk against the current in the Lazy River. There

visit, you can still get a workout in the mornings.
This year, there will be several fun activities to
keep families busy, Tatgenhorst said. This includes

kids can bring their own chalk and draw all over

Lifeguard for a Day. They’ll get the chance to hang
out with a lifeguard for an hour at a time and learn
