FROM THE EDITOR
HAPPY NEW YEAR !
As the hustle and bustle of the holiday season ends and new year begins , it ’ s easy to feel exhausted and a bit drained . I ’ ve noticed that as I ’ ve grown older and moved into more of the “ adulting ” part of life , the holidays always feel a little more stressful and I move into the new year trying to figure out how my bank account will ever recover . I ’ m sure many of you reading this can relate .
No , this isn ’ t a holiday issue of Extol or an issue on how to set your own resolutions for the new year . This is , however , an issue about people who have found great meaning in their own personal “ grind .” This is an issue that focuses on individuals that choose to elevate

THESE ARE STORIES

OF PEOPLE WHO

CREATE SO THAT

OTHERS FEEL SOMETHING THEY DIDN ’ T FEEL BEFORE .

and inspire others . In my opinion , that ’ s the true meaning of not only the holiday season , but what we should carry with us into a new year as well . From Peggy Garbe ’ s healthy meal prep business to Adam Christian and Jason Dailey ’ s mission to make people look and feel good , these are stories of folks who want people to be happy with themselves and the lives they lead . These are stories of people who create so that others feel something they didn ’ t feel before .
As we move into a new year , maybe we can take a little inspiration from these businesses and stories . May we find the beauty and serenity that comes from helping people feel loved and seen . From time spent with a loved one . From the simple pleasure of gathering with family and friends . There is charm in imperfection , and joy to be found in the gratitude for what we have , however much or little that is . And that , dear readers , is a good goal to set for the new year .
