EXPERIENCE THE MAGIC OF THE BEATLES
AT ABBEY ROAD ON THE RIVER
The world’s largest Beatles tribute festival will once
again take place in Jeffersonville on Memorial Day
weekend, May 23-27, at the Big 4 Station Park and
Radisson Hotel. For festival goers, Abbey Road on
the River is truly the weekend they mark their year
by. That’s because each year when people from all
over the U.S. and abroad come together to celebrate
the music of one of the best bands of all time, they
reunite with their “Beatles family” and experience
five days of peace, love and rock-n-roll.
Abbey Road on the River is not just a festival;
it’s a feeling. It’s a place where everybody’s happy.
A place where every day is like a magical mystery
tour down memory lane. A place where families and
people from all backgrounds can sing and dance
together. A place where the fans mingle with the
bands, and the bands become fans when watching
fellow bands perform.
Attendees can enjoy over 250 concerts featuring
music from the 60’s and 70’s performed by 60 different
bands from around the world. Classic rock highlights
will include a tribute to Queen, the recreation of The
Who’s Tommy album, and a concert celebrating the

2019 headlining bands The Buckinghams, The
Cowsills and The Grass Roots will perform on
Saturday, May 25th. The Buckinghams, one of the
most loved pop bands to emerge from Chicago,
will perform their hits including “Kind of a Drag.”
The Grass Roots, who set a record by being on the
Billboard charts an unbelievable 307 straight weeks
between 1967-1972, will have the crowd singing along
to “Midnight Confessions” and “Temptation Eyes.”
Sibling group The Cowsills, the real-life inspiration
behind the hit series The Partridge Family, will
perform their pop hits like “The Rain, the Park, and
Other Things.”
Other festival highlights include performances
by renowned harpist and Jeffersonville’s own Erin
Hill, Peter Asher of “Peter and Gordon” and Jeremy
Clyde of “Chad and Jeremy” performing together,
and a reimagined production of the album that
inspired the festival, Abbey Road. Abbey Road
includes the hits “Come Together,” “Something,”
and “Here Comes the Sun,” and it was the last one
recorded with all four of The Beatles participating.
The album’s cover featuring a photo of The Beatles
walking across the striped crosswalk in front of
Abbey Road studios has become one of the most
iconic images in music history.
The festival will take place at the beautiful Big 4
Station Park where attendees can enjoy a playground
area for children, Beatles merchandise and craft
vendors, interactive art installations, and a wide
variety of food and bar services. Some concerts and
presentations will be held at The Radisson hotel.
Of course, Abbey Road on the River gets by
